Amanda’s Project | Letters to My Son

Brave Women Write is an invitation for readers to join a movement of women writing stories that matter—about women, for women. It’s a way to tip the scales and rebalance history with her-story.

The Brave Women Writers’ Circles are here to help women bring the practices in the book to life. They’re a safe and supported space for women to find their courage and write the stories that might otherwise be lost and remain untold.

Every woman in the current circle is at different stages in their writing journey. Some have never taken to the page before. Others have been writing secretly for years but never shared their words. While a few have been writing and publishing their work for some time.

In our circle, our writing experience is irrelevant. What unites us is our shared purpose to give women a voice, to write our stories, no matter our expertise.

I decided to interview each of the amazing women in the circle about their projects and progress in the hope that it will inspire you to write your story too.

Today, I’m chatting with Amanda Burton who is a small business owner teaching French in Melbourne. Amanda is new to writing however is blessed with an innate curiosity that saw her join the circle after reading Brave Women Write.

In this chat we explore why she joined the circle, learn more about her project ‘Letters to my Son’, what she loves about writing with other women and how writing is proving to be transformational for her.

If you’re intrigued to learn more about the next circle, read about it here and book a call.

I’d love to help you write that story that’s lurking around inside. If not you, who? If not now, when?

With love
