Have you ever had a magical experience where the ripple effects can be felt for days afterwards?
For me, that magical experience was last Friday when nine women gathered at our farm, Kookaburra Rise for the closing of the Brave Women Writers’ Circle. After 12 weeks of writing together on screen, we finally got to connect in person, in Mother Nature.
Every time I think of that day, I feel a jolt of joy and an inner knowing that this circle was the first of many more to come.
In a way, Ric (my partner) and I, had been preparing for this moment since arriving at the farm six months ago. It was our first public gathering on this land and the first opportunity to test our vision.
The theme of the day was Celebration, Connection & Commitment. I won’t give too much away on what happened lest I spoil the experience for the women in the next circle.
Let’s just say the day was filled with nature connection, storytelling, journaling, scrumptious food, rich conversations, laughter and play. The photo’s below say it all.

To the brave women who showed up each week and who dared to write what was in your heart, I say thank you. For your contributions. For your open-heartedness. For your intrepid writing. For your deep listening. For your vulnerable sharing.
What’s most thrilling to me, is that you’ve already self-organised to continue your writing journey together. My dream for these circles to ripple on way after our time together has come true. ❤️
